These types of NPD men are a dime a dozen.
This one is easy to answer.
When he approached you, he never thought about love, because he did not love you. He only thought about how he could take from you, until you were left a dried-out husk.
When was the first time you felt discriminated against because you were female?
You gave him everything. That is what he was after.
He never loved you.
He just told you that he loved you, and he led you on. He probably mentioned your future together, and even marriage.
